Maison du Cari des Caraibes is a vibrant Caribbean restaurant nestled in the heart of Montreal at 6892 Victoria Ave. This culinary gem invites guests to experience the rich and soulful flavors of the Caribbean through a carefully curated menu that satisfies both the adventurous palate and those new to Caribbean cuisine.
From the moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, punctuated by lively Caribbean rhythms, sets the mood for an authentic dining experience. The friendly staff immediately make you feel at home, eager to share their love for traditional island fare.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Assiette Roti (Roti Plate), featuring tender, slow-cooked meats and hearty vegetables folded into a delicious meal. Popular choices include the aromatic Poisson Chiches de Patates (Chickpeas & Potatoes) for $17, the succulent and spice-infused Poulet (Chicken) at $18, and the rich, flavorful Boeuf (Beef) for $19. For a true Caribbean feast, the combinations of Boeuf & Chèvre (Beef & Goat) or Poulet & Chèvre (Chicken & Goat) both priced at $20, deliver bold flavors that linger on your taste buds, balanced perfectly by the sides.
The snacks and sides are equally tempting, especially the freshly baked Patty available in beef, chicken, or vegetarian options ($3.50), and the beloved Doubles — soft fried flatbread filled with curried chickpeas — priced at 2 for $8, or with meat for $11. Don't miss out on the creamy Coleslaw Salad ($8) and the comforting Soup of the Day ($10), which add refreshing and hearty contrasts to your meal.
Complement your plate with extras like Roti Skin (Peau de Rôti) for $5 or the classic Caribbean Peas & Rice (Petits Pois et Riz) at $6, which complete the meal with traditional tastes and textures.
Customers rave about the freshness and quality of the dishes. Emily Sara fondly recalls her visit with her 1-year-old, praising the curry goat and jerk chicken plates as “10/10,” along with “good meat, good rice, and fresh salad.” The genuine hospitality extends beyond the food, making each visit feel like a special occasion. Meanwhile, regular visitor Mark Barker highlights the fantastic atmosphere and music, creating a dining experience that feels festive and memorable.

Ordered 2 rotis (extra meat) over a delivery app, and couldn't be happier with my choice! My goat curry roti was sublime, and my girlfriend hummed with joy the whole time she ate. The employee at the restaurant treated us very well and the portions were very generous. 100% would recommend. Best customer service ever. Thank you Caribbean Curry House, y'all are the best!

Tuesday, June 22, 2021 around 4pm. First time coming here and ordered 2 beef patties, oxtail platter and the chicken and goat roti. Everything was good. The cashier/ the one that packed up our food was nice. Reasonably priced. Few tiny critics though. I only got 1 skinny plantain in my oxtail platter while your Instagram photos show 2 plantains. Oxtail was more bones and fat and the roti had big portions of potatoes and only got goat meat in it. The beef patties were good but lacked seasoning and heat. Overrall, good food. Would definitely give it another shot!

Without a doubt, one of my most favorite spots to order. Ever. The chicken roti is absolutely to die for. It is pure quality every single time. The staff are incredibly nice and professional. There is nothing bad to say about this place whatsoever. You will never forget your first time eating here at Maison du Cari des Caraïbes!!

Soup was very good as was rice. Roti though was way too much dough. Felt like I ate four pieces of white sliced bread....outside too doughy. Staff very friendly even though we could not speak French...that was much appreciated. Sorry don't have pic of the offending roti. If rating was based on the roti than much lower than four stars.

Update May 2023: This place remains consistently excellent - always a treat to be able to get here and have some outstanding roti! Delicious Roti! House made hot sauce was good, a littler vinegary for my liking, but that is a matter of taste, my dinning companion thought it was perfect. Could have been spicier, but again that's a matter of taste. Will definitely return! Price, portion, and flavour were astounding!
